Ok well we had some family visit on Saturday, so I put my Mp3 player on one of the shelves so no one will take it. The next day I go to get it and all I found were my earbuds. The only way to remove them is to actually pull them off, so I think it's been stolen but I don't know where it went.

Wow that sucks. I'd try to ask around and see if anyone took it by mistake (Yeah I know, it sounds unlikely, but you might as well try.). If that doesn't work, then I'd confront anyone who you think would've stolen it, and see if you can get them to tell you the truth.
Hope everything works out. Maybe if you're lucky, someone just moved it.
Ask your uncles and aunts if their son/daughter suddenly got a MP3 player from somewhere or if they can ask their kids if they do have it (since they probably secretly use it, and their parents most likely don't know)

Get a Zune. It's better, and now you have an excuse to get one. >
On a serious note, just ask everybody, especially the little ones, cause everything is "theirs"
