There are a few good metal bands like... Oh I can't think of any haha
But it's not like I would know because I have never listened to a lot of metal before. I've only heard some Avenged Sevenfold (rip the rev he died today last year) and some other bands on the radio

Metal & Rock are my favorite types of music. But I live in a place where there's a bunch of "gangsters" (a ghetto you may say) or whatever so I have to listen to rap all the time.

I do have to say that I don't like "scream-o's", but at least it's better than the crap people listen to today. Those pop and rap stars don't even use real instruments, so you can barely call it "music". Meh, just my opinion.

What...the...hell? I come here and one of the first things I see is green day being insulted. I like green day, by the way, connor. There's nothing wrong with liking them.

Oh, by the way, metal sucks now. :3 I mostly listen to soft rock and alternative. (ie. smash mouth, sum 41, smashing pumpkins, crush 40, zebrahead, etc.)

Neither do I....

It's not my favorite kind of music (I hate it tbh) but it isn't really fair for you not to have it played on a stereo or something (just not at a volume where you break windows in Paraguay)

It might just be me who thinks this but.

I'm really not surprised that you're family doesn't want you playing music through speakers whenever you feel like it, even if you like music playing doesn't mean other people do, thats the reason headphones were invented after all. And there's nothing wrong with headphones anyway, i like them better than speakers :/

For music like metal and screamo, nothing can beat the speakers, headphones just don't cut it. This is because it's the type of music that can't just be in the background, you HAVE to have it full blast, no exceptions. I should know, it's my favourite music.
