| Back from UT! For those of you who don't know, this is basically a game where you show off you're nerdiness by posting random facts about video games. Although unlike on UT, I'm adding rules so that no spam is posted here *CoughConnorSaurusRexCough*.
1) Don't post something pointless like "Mario Kart is a racing game" or "COD let's you shoot people" 2) Don't say anything bad about a game like "Mario Party is boring" or "Halo is better that COD" 3) If a theory that someone posts is somewhat illogical, don't start flaming them. 4) Have fun!
I'll start. The pokemon Voltorb only weighs 10.4 Kg, and is hollow. Therefore Voltorb should be able to float if in water, but it can't learn surf, an attack used outside of battle for travelling across water!

| Halo originally was supposed to be a RTS, before becoming a third person shooter. This 3PS version of Halo was going to have rpg elements, and let players control either the UNSC or Conevant, and was going to have the majority of weapons that appeared in later games. | |

Now THAT I didn't know! The North American version of Super Mario Bros 2, is actually a game made by the same creator of Mario known as Dream Factory: Doki Doki Panic, but with Mario characters in it. The real Super Mario Bros 2 was only released in Japan and was very similar to the first game. It wasn't released in NA because of it's extreme difficulty and similarities to the first game. (I've played the game, and trust me it's HARD) The game was later released as SMB The Lost Levels.

| I did NOT know that.
World of Warcraft was originally a series of Strategy Games.
Spore originally was supposed to be more violent, have underwater civilizations, and have a "First Encounter" minigame when you meet new alien civilizations.

Actually even Miyamoto himself doesn't know the full timeline. The only thing that he's confirmed is that LoZ Skyward Sword comes before LoZ Ocarina of time. Anywhoo! One of the levels of Donkey Kong 64 (I don't remember the name, but it may have been fungi forest) was originally going to be a level in the game Banjo Kazooie, but it got scrapped. The reason it was in DK 64 was because the company RARE made both games.

| Super Mario Galaxy 2 recently became the most critically acclaimed game of all time, topping Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which held the title for over a decade. | |

Thats not a nerd fact Sure it is! I didn't even know that, and it's quite interesting. Okay, another fact. Ever since the first Super Mario Bros Game, Miyamoto wanted Mario to be able to ride a dinosaur, it took many NES games before Yoshi first appeared in the SNES game Super Mario World.

| Legend of Zelda and Pokemon was inspired by when their creater wandered through Japan. Once as a child, he explored a cave he discovered in a nearby forest, which was one of the key inspirations. | |

| There were three games in the Earthbound series, however only one was released in North America, and it was the sequel to the first game!
The first Earthbound game, (Known in Japan as Mother) was actually released for the Famicon Disk System (The Japanese NES) and was one of the most impressive NES games programming-wise, but for reasons unknown, it never saw the light of day in NA.

To clarify it never hit the nes because the snes had already been made before they were finished

| Did you know?
Mew Was actually never suppose to happen, but he was a Pokemon encoded into the game because there was just enough room to add in one final Pokemon. The issue with this is that for reasons unknown to most people, the games programming allowed certain players to get Mew, which caused a large uprising in Pokemon fans because they, like everyone, wanted to "catch them all", and there was 150+1.
Mew was then given out at Nintendo events so it was possible for all who attended to get one. It is also rumored that this same programming error is the reason MissingNo was ever born. Ironically, because there is always scrap data in most games, or to much data put into one part of the game at the wrong time, MissingNo appears in most, if not all, of the Pokemon games. It is literally a self developed virus in the game.
ALSO...
Did you know that the first two games were really Red and Green? When the games were released to the other countries, a new version appeared; Blue. This was actually corrected later with the remakes of the games - Leaf Green and Fire Red. Pokemon Green is technically the only Pokemon gameboy game that has never been released in America.

To clarify it never hit the nes because the snes had already been made before they were finished Actually, this brings on another fact. NES games were still being created even after the SNES was made, some NES games were made so late, in fact that they had SNES counter-parts. The last Licensed NES game ever released was Wario's Woods, in 1994. Although the most recent NES game to date was actually made in 2009! At least the most recent released one....
