My first gen V OU team =D

Well here is my first team for Gen V! I built this team around favorite Pokemon Birijion. Since Birijion is weak to Psychic attacks Rankurusu was an ideal partner because is can absorb toxics and burns and then starts to use Calm Mind. Now looking at my team I realized that i had a dragon/ ice problem, so I chose a Scizor to take Dragon Attacks and then scare them away with a Bullet Punch. I'm using a CB set because of the powerful Bullet Punch and U-Turns. Now i need a rapid spinner who is fast and forces switches. To fit this role i chose a Doryuuzu. Doryuuzu forces a lot of switches and i can easly eather set up a Swords Dance, or use a Rapid Spin. Although in order for Doryuuzu to work i need some one who could produce a sandstorm. I choose a Tyranitar to scare away Ghosts and to set up a sandstorm. Now all i needed was a bulky pokemon who could use Stealth Rock. After spending ten minutes looking through You Tube for ideas, I came across a Gligar. I saw that an Outrage from a Garchomp did only 1/3 to Gligar, so I had to use him.


The Team

Steve (Gligar) (M) @ Evolution Stone
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Gligar is a monster, rarely OKoed by any move ( Except for super effective attacks). The extra SDef evs are to be able to survive any attcak a Lucario would through at Gligar


chezburger (Doryuuzu) (M) @ Balloon
Trait: Sand Throw
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

As said before its forces switches and ether Swords Dances or Rapid Spins. Rock Slide is used to hit Flying Pokemon.



Breloom (Birijion) @ Leftovers
Trait: Justice Heart
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain

I love love love Birijion! Is so good! It beats Nattroi every time, and can sweep teams if played right.

Emo Child (Rankurusu) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 192 HP / 188 Def / 128 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Recover
- Calm Mind


I stole this set from Shnoogle (sorry if i spelled you name wrong =P) and i works wonders. Counters Roopuson and other fighting types

Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Atk / 176 SAtk / 20 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Ice Beam
- Focus Punch
- Crunch
- Substitute

Pretty self explanatory, Sub up and see what happens. I'm running a neutral nature because it allows me to out speed apposing SubPunch Tyranitars.
