5th Gen Standard OU Team

I have actually been using this team for a while on Pokemon Online but want some opinions about it and ways to improve it.


Mienshao (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hi Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Fake Out
- Stone Edge
I lead with Mienshao for obvious reasons. The fake out does a little bit of damage and allows me to see if my opponent has any intention of switching out. A high jump kick can generally do a lot of damage to most pokemon, and it covers most of the things that resist it with Stone Edge and U-turn.


Volcarona (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Morning Sun
This is a more defensive special sweeper. Both fiery dance and bug buzz get STAB from it and, with its defense, it can setup against many things. Morning Sun keeps it alive and also helps with stealth rock, which is what hurts it the most probably.


Haxorus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
This is my Physical sweeper. Like most dragon pokemon, it has a standard dragon dance set.


Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Slack Off
- Psychic
- Toxic
Slowbro is probably my favorite pokemon on this team. Surf and Psychic, obviously allow a decent coverage of most things, both with STAB advantage. It can often get a toxic in on an opponent's switch and can stall down a poisoned pokemon with slack off.


Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
Thundurus is another special sweeper. Unlike Volcarona, it is less defensive of a sweeper, and more offensive. Since it's so fast anyway, Nasty Plot works just fine on it. With one of those up, it can pretty much OHKO anything.


Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
Ferrothorn works as staller. It can come in on most things and set up stealth rock and leech seed on them. With leech seed up, it can stall many things down with Power Whip, which it has STAB on.
